Today was the dance party. It was a ton of fun despite getting upset before the dance due to an earlier problem.

Second elective day

Honestly nothing too exciting happened today. Engineering class was fun as we got to play with a 3D pen but other than that today wasn't the most fun. I've also been feeling kinda bored so hopefully things will start looking up soon. I unfortunately got behind on my work and spent a lot of last night and today catching up, but I believe this is my last thing before I'm officially caught up! So thats good. Until next time,

First elective day

Today was the baseball game! It was a ton of fun until the deck caught fire. But that was pretty exciting honestly so I guess I cant complain too much. But anyway, today was also the first day of electives. Mine was engineering, which is extremely interesting even though it doesn't have too terribly much to do with what I want to be when I get out of highschool. It's a good experience, though. Nathan left :(

Today was the Olympics, which were alright, but I ended up getting sick from the heat and exhaustion. Today was also particularly disappointing because Nathan had to leave for 4 days for a student leader conference in DC. I'm probably just being clingy, but I miss him being here. However, I'm making the most of it by using the free time to hang out with Colt, Judith, Taylor, and all my other friends. until next time, Casey Marie

Today we had a mostly chill day. We did go to fusion, which was hard work, as I had to go to two different buildings to clean, one of which is a homeless shelter. However, one of my favorite parts of the day was getting to facetime with my little sister Marley at the end of the night (SHOUTOUT TO YOU MARLEY YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!) and we made funny faces. I miss her a lot, along with my parents and pets and everyone else. anyway, til next time,

GALLERY HOP

Today was the Gallery Hop. I was super excited about it because last year I got sick and missed it. It was a ton of fun to see all the different mediums of art, especially Oil Pastel, because I'm not very good at working with them and its interesting to see how good it can look when an experienced artist uses them. I was super tired, though, and I ended up pulling a muscle in my foot. Anyway, til next time,

first day of class

Today was our first day of classes. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Justin was our music teacher, as I was under the impression that we would have a different teacher for world music this year. I had a ton of fun in Music and Acting class, and I'm looking forward to getting further into our photo class as well. New Year

I am Casey Walter, and I am back for another year of the GEAR UP Summer Academy. I am extremely excited to revisit the staff and students of last year's academy, as well as meeting new people and hopefully making more long lasting friends. While I am excited and happy to be back, I'm also sad that this will be my last year at this academy as a student. I will try and keep this blog as updated as I can. Until tomorrow, Casey Marie.
